Welcome to Industrial Design and Technology (IDT)

As a mechanical design engineer, I saw a gap in the marketplace, an opportunity to put my skill set to effective use, this is why I started Industrial Design and Technology. The intention was not just to provide a design service but to give full engineering support.

Using the latest Solidworks software to produce designs, 3d models, drawings, bills of materials, tolerance analysis and finite element analysis (FEA).

Quality systems form a big part of any company. Our bespoke systems can cope with either simple or advanced needs, which would meet or exceed the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & BS OHSAS 18001.

Over 20 years designing triple and double offset butterfly valves primarily for oil & gas, but they can be used in process industries as well. Cryogenic valves played a big part of this, which is especially relevant now that the use of LNG is on the increase.

IDT’s goal is to fully support our customers and to build up a network of like-minded engineers and professionals who are as enthusiastic as we are about getting the job right.

Recently our company has been expanding. In addition to the UK, we now have a representative in Abu Dhabi, who will cover the whole of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. They have over 30 years’ experience working in the field of valve design, oil & gas, valve automation and in process industries.
